Due to rapid growth, our client needed to upgrade their entire IT infrastructure. We were asked to plan, design and implement the complete replacement of over 550 PCs and laptops and 40 servers scattered throughout 30 offices around Australia. In the process, we also upgrade communications and the WAN in order to provide remote and mobile employees with a seamless and reliable environment for email and other applications; accessible by anybody from anywhere at anytime.
While all of this was happening, it was business as usual for all the users who were able to work without any interruption. Our project team used parallel systems which made it a seamless transition. Over the years we have fine-tuned our transition models and systems to make sure our projects run like well-oiled machines and therefore ensuring a quality outcome and a happy customer.
“The transition was flawless in every respect, despite some significant logistical barriers.
The team should be commended for their professionalism and single- minded focuses on superior customer service throughout the upgrade and transition process.”

We also know that it is not just about the technology. Our processes are 'user centric' and we help the users by stepping them through the changes that are taking place. In this project the users were assigned team members, provided with on-site training, user guides and post change support. We also conducted a follow-up survey after each site had been transitioned.
Understanding that the resident IT team needed time to learn the new technologies, we looked after the client's Service Desk and delivered onsite and remote technical support during the transition. This took the pressure of the resident IT team and allowed them time to come up to speed with the change via skills transfer and formal training. Obviously, we also took on the task of documenting the network and the details of the complete installation of the 550 PCs and 40 Servers. We also conducted workshops with the client's IT team for a smoothly hand-over of the new network.
Mobile and geographically disbursed staff can now have system availability and support which increased their productivity by 500 hours each week. IT costs are now 30% below industry average and managed through operational expenses preserving capital for investment.
